The Apex Salvage Division consists mainly of personnel who have had extensive experience in both ship building and repair while serving with the UEE Navy, or as contractors for military support missions. As such, they have a broad range of knowledge on the assembly and disassembly of space vessels, support vessels and other ancillary equipment required on a major space construction site. Since joining Apex, they have received hundreds of hours of transitional training on how to apply these skills in major salvage operations. They also operate some of the most specialized vessels in the Apex inventory; vessels that have been built specifically with salvage operations in mind.
In addition to deep space and interplanetary salvage operations, both for the corporation or on contract to other clients, the Salvage Division takes on a number of other missions for the organization. These include major recovery and repair missions in support of Apex vessels, research and application of upgraded components within the Apex Fleet, parts procurement and/or fabrication and other major support operations for Apex members. Recently there have also been serious discussions within the Apex Board of Directors on the feasibility of expanding the Salvage Division's responsibilities to include the construction and operation of a major ship-building facility.
