Ranks at Apex come in three forms: a guild rank (RSI), a game rank (by division), and if applicable, a leadership position within the game. Your guild rank is displayed on the RSI website and reflects your participation in the operation of our community. Your game rank reflects your achievements within the game, normally within one of our divisions. All Apex members start with the same game rank at the beginning of the game. A minimal number of leadership positions will be assigned to provide adequate command and control; thenceforth they will be earned by members by exceptional performance in the game. Key factors when determining who fills what role is (in no particular order) Quality of Character, Ability, Desire, Participation and Reliability. Longevity of membership is also a factor in determining your ranks.
This rank reflects a member's participation in the administrative operation of the guild. Typically these tasks are not a part of actual game play; instead, duties may include web site development and maintenance, recruiting, brand development, administration of Teamspeak or other tasks necessary for the efficient operation of our guild.
Currently Apex has six Guild Ranks:
Associate - New Member
Statutory Agent - Member
Senior Agent - Junior Officer
Superintendent - Officer
Corporate Officer - Senior Officer
Director - Overall Leaders of Apex Continuum
This rank reflects a member's achievements within their division and (usually) within the game itself. Each division has its own functional game ranks based on the unique needs of that group of members. These ranks are currently under development, as well as the criteria for earning them. Criteria for each rank will be posted in each division's forum.
Leadership and Special Appointee Positions
Each division in Apex will be provided with a minimum chain of command in order to promote efficiency upon entering the game. These initial leadership positions will normally include a Functional Executive Officer (FEO) and his Deputy per each division. Because of its military nature, In Extremis will be assigned additional leaders in important subordinate positions. When the game begins, additional leadership positions will be assigned based upon a member's contribution to the guild and demonstrated leadership potential.
In addition, certain members are appointed to positions that reflect a special task, assignment or responsibility in the administrative and in-game operations of the guild. Typically these tasks are administrative in nature and are awarded to members who fulfil a very specific role, such as Diplomat, Librarian or Instructor.
Chief Information Officer - Oversees Library, Databases and in-game intelligence operations
Librarian - Maintains the Library and Databases
Chief Training Officer - Plans & Oversees all guild Training efforts, to include the formation of doctrinal materials
